I have tried refreshing the browsers a million times, replacing the STEAM shortcut, and restarting both my PC and ableton.... still no sign of any audio whatsoever from omnispheres channel. And i have other working VSTs open in the same project making sound.

If i did a re-install, i would follow the exact same instructions as last time and likely end up where i am now again, so whats even the point?

 

Have u checked sfv for each disc to see if your missing any files.

In one it says you missing the map not the actual soundsource so maybe check where the maps are by default etc and whether the shortcut refers to that location also i.e they also have been copied from original location.
Just because uit blinks from midi doesn't really mean a thing apart from it recognising input.

Maybe u missing some GUI components also so double check you have all the correct files and that you have moved everything you need i.e some other components may be installed by default to another folder. Did u just choose default install locations?

I don't have it installed any longer so can't help that way unless I re-install which i probably not going to

 

I had this happen to me on first install. I loaded all discs and ran the installer. I had the same errors you are seeing now. I decided to reinstall but this time I loaded the discs one by one when prompted and now my install is working 100%.

Yes he tells me by PM he've checked all ISOs...
STEAM folder installed in F:\Omnisphere\CONTENT\STEAM
Shortcut (in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasoncs) is good also.

Hope it's not an HDD failure (or logical errors). By PM I've recommended the full reinstall, using F:\STEAM as target folder for STEAM master folder.

 

I confirmed that all the downloads were the right MD5's and byte sizes


I loaded each .iso individually as i was prompted for them during the installation.

I did a windows scan on my F: drive and there is no problems


How could i choose default installation locations?
I dont have room on my Local Disc C:, where it wants to default install, so i directed it to install on the F: drive.
As for the .dll, it initally wants to place it in some random folder, so i pointed it to my "VST" folder on local disk where i keep all my other working .dll's....
Does that sound right?

 

We're in contact by PM together (to avoid spam on this topic), he says me he load one ISO at time (when asked by installer). For my arsenal I've solved this problem by creating my installer and using a 55 GB single ISO file (I'll plan to burn a BD-XL TL 100GB disc, but I'm waiting couple of weeks/months for possible updates), installing only x64 pre-patched VSTi, "Step 2" installed too etc... The only thing I must do "manually" after installation is plugin authoeization (by using R2R keygen). Tried on my desktop and on two friends' notebook PCs Win7 and Win8 (both x64) without any problem since couple of days! (I can assume I'm experimented because was already made my custom installer for Omnisphere 1, Trilian, Bob Moog Library and many addons such PlugInGuru / Tone Color / PlugHugger addon presets etc).

 

After install, you can move DLL to another folder e.g. to custom VST folder (eventually subfolder). From your screen capture, I've seen you're using Spectrasonics as subfolder, exactly what I do!

To avoid problem, I'm using as "base" (or common root) folders for VST/VSTi:
C:\VST64 for 64-bit VSTs
C:\VST32 for 32-bit VSTs (dlls are keept only if plugin don't exists as native 64-bit, such Nexus2 v2.2, Altiverb 6, SQ8L, etc)

Both C:\VST64 and C:\VST32 are declared in Registry (using Steinberg specification).

My "Omnisphere.dll" file is installed in C:\VST64\Spectrasonics (and I've deleted 32-bit Omnisphere.dll from C:\VST32... I don't need it, I use 64-bit DAWs/hosts only). Also I've deleted the plug-in (or plug-ins I don't remember) subfolder located in C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics (they're only used by RTAS/AAX wrappers, from Pro Tools).

 

Great news, i got omnisphere to work and play audio after the installation!

I ended up switching from 7-Zip to WinRar, and WinRar kindly informed me that D4 Part8 was corrupt, so i redownloaded, and the whole installation worked perfectly!

The synth is already blowing my mind to say the least, really amazing sounds! absolutely unbelievable for atmosphere, Pads, and FX. I feel like a child in a candy store

 

Corrupt disc sounds right Makes sense with the problems u having *yes* Always check .sfv etc with stuff like that if in doubt re-down it

Final word for this topic: solved!

Issue related by torontoleech member was due to... corrupted ISO file (DVD 4). Exactly as reported above by Clandestine member, bravo!

 

I boy...in my omnisphere 2 i don't have many instrument....i don't have Gorgeus analog dark pad and more....why? How can I have them?

 

Hello, after installing the 2.6.0e version everything works fine, there's just one huge problem. I can't see the name/description of any sound in the library.

I tried to contact PiRAT and he said I should try my best on this forum to figure it out.
