really nicely done man. Some good silent and eerie dark space music :)

You definately have your own concept and idea going. Keep at it and develop it further...

For some strange reason, Drone music might morph well with hiphop tracks based on what i just heard.

There seems to be this harmonic distinction, that resonates well that spark my interest lol.

Maybe we should start a new genre? Something like Ambient Hip-Hop :dunno:

I'm not much of a drone producer myself but the sound is pretty cool man! Really like the female vocals that drop in around the 1.40 mark.... very haunting

get a sampler add shitload of reverb(maybe turn on the freeze feature on the reverb), add delays and widening.
you can put everything in the sampler, even white noise, drum sounds, resampled synth recordings, etc (haha also field recordings do work)

the key is to build a loop on relative big part of the input material.
then all is just playing around from there.

    thank you everybody! :mates: :dancing:

i really like the way how Lamb does the stuff, its triphop too with ambient elements.

Interesting enough this is the first time i heard of such thing lol

Time to get digging, anything particular to look for?

Edit: Trip-Hop is okay, gotta let it grow on my me. Ambient & Lounge is where it's at lol

Thanks for the heads up Cat.

@wasgedn, when i drums the focus gets lost. the focus is on the harmonic and disharmonic random nature of the instruments.
thats the concept of drone music.

but one could try to add with field recordings some drumish sounding elements.

i think this one is finished.
only used vocal for that one. maybe trying start material next time.

What I like about trip-hop is they have the musicality down and it's not about ego. Very introspective kind of music.

    Great drones Artic. :mates:

aah aha..ok..very nice drone....thats my often fight to merge similar stuff or completly other stuff with a good break or drumtrack...and i didnt get it 100% harmonic right , often ....
    :break: :grooves: *yes* *yes*
dont get me wrong finish hat durchaus seine brerechtigung ...das teil ohne drums rockt gewaltig und wie du sagst der focus liegt hie woanders und wenn du die harmonics so beibehalten möchtest find ichs auch gut wirklich gut...schön dark

Nice work man, if I just may add that that autopanned part, at least to me, seems like it needs some fixing. It gives me a weird feeling, its just a bit to overwhelming on the senses, and it also gives impression that the mix is unbalanced. But really nice stuff.

Check out eliane radigue. She is quite famous for her electronic drone works, but apparently recently she s composing only for accoustic instruments with the same philosophy of exploring partials. Here s a little taste:

Introspective and "not about ego" are both apt descriptions. You won't find any flashy production, and I'd go so far as to say that the average modern music fan probably doesn't have the attention span required to listen to it for more than about thirty seconds. You have to settle in for a bit, ignore external distractions, and eventually the subtle textures and grooves begin to take hold. Afterwards, you can get lost in it for hours.

You'll have to forgive my romanticizing; trip-hop was my gateway into the world of independent music, and discovering it was so fascinating for me at the time. If anybody is interested in checking some out, there are a couple of amazing trip-hop DJ sets by Jason Dunne on the Hybridized website. I think they had some issues with servers crashing and lost some old sets, but they are all available from the index I'm linking. Jason Dunne's "Mind the Scape" parts one and two are the trip-hop sets. Mostly trip hop, anyway.
