with the new dylib file replacement for some new plugins that have shown up but in the process of replacing the file now some people are having problems with Adobe products such as After Effects Photoshop and others the only problem I'm having is with Photoshop 5 I have 4 installed and 6 install and they work fine but for some reason Photoshop 5 wont open anymore since replacing the file I was just wondering if anybody has been found a solution or been working on a solution thanks

 

It takes only a couple of minutes to switch the files out for the original and then reboot when you need to use something that requires the original dynlib concerned..

Of course, if you find your priorities are such that it's important to keep the original dynlib available all the time, don't use the cracked plugins..

It's a choice to make that for everyone would be based on different criteria.

In my case, as an alternative method, I boot up from an external 2TB Thunderbolt 10K HD whenever I want to use my DAW anyhow so my main working rig is always clean (By clean I mean I only have my DAW plus plugins etc, installed on that external bootup disk)

When/if I want to use other software such as Graphical/Movie editing suites, I boot up to my non DAW system drive instead and again, it only takes a couple of minutes to switch back and forth.

This setup gives me max performance and max flexibility for each setup, with a minimum of aggravation.

 

I think i saw a couple guys that managed to fix this.

Do you mean Photoshop versions 4, 5 and 6, or to CS versions? There is a difference. Those particular versions (through version 7) of Photoshop preceded the introduction of the Adobe CS bundle. Additionally: which OSX version are you using?

I have Adobe CS6 installed (including Photoshop) on Yosemite, and am experiencing no conflict between it and the dylib file in question.

 

patchd dylib crashed Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects CS 2014 on OSX 10.9.5. InDesign is not affected. Just keep a backup of original and patched and overwrite it as needed.

 

No, Yosemite too.

 

Not here, only Audition. (albeit CC 2014) Maybe some genius will find a fix though. In the meantime I've just switched any audio editing I did in Audition back to Amadeus.
