Do you guys know if now it's possible to sort your plugins by categories in the browser?

Anyway, honestly, in my opinion, if you remove the cosmetic changes, they didn't actually add much stuff to justify the hype.

Sure, the arranger track, the scratch pad and the effect/instrument layering thing are nice features. But that's pretty much all of it; Only three major new features.

They've given too much emphasis to their instruments (presence and mai tai), but with so many better instruments out there, I don't actually see the point.

And not a single update to their major effects plugins?

Don't get me wrong. I'm not a hater or something. I'll probably upgrade later this year anyway.

This is what i call a new version that really has new features that are worth paying for. I only recenty spent 100€ for my Cubase updates. Now i really wish that i would have saved the money and spent it for studio one. I know that it will be probably cracked in a few days, but this DAW is really worth paying for, the features are simply incredible. I really like working with Cubase, but i don´t think that any other DAW including Cubase can compete with Studio One right now.

Oh and they managed to offer a working trial version at the day of release, i can´t say that about Steinberg

Yes you can arrange plugs and instruments in the browser! Also under general setup tab on Main page they now have a color Hue like protools to change all the colors of Gui, along with saturation, brightness, color etc..
Very Kewl theres a lot of enhancements in this, just gotta dig and move around a little with it Great Job Presonus

I'm ok with all the updates and upgrades. I'm not happy with the GUI wich seems blurred and less clear than previous version.

Same protection as v2 (thanks Presonus ; very smart marketing).
Already registered here with AIR's license generator and modified binaries following v2.6.5 scheme.
    Works perfectly.
    I love it.

I love it! On eof the reasons I didn't like Studio One is too bright GUI, but also lack of some features, and being less efficient with CPU than Reaper. Dark GUIs are easier on eyes in a dark studio, and I rarely work during the day, or I at least draw the curtains.

Anyway, GUI aside, I would like to know one thing that always bothers me with DAWs: how are the multi-out instruments handled? Is it easy to route audio from multi out instruments to separate tracks? For example NI Battery with its 32 mono outs, can you easily put different FX on different outs, and get those outs in the mixer? I watched all the tutorials on Youtube but not one mentions that. Or I would like to read the manual, if possible, but where to download it? No, I don't want to even try Studio One before I'm sure about some things that matter to me a lot first.

    Cheers!

Arrangement view is very nice. They got the concept, like FL Studio : clear and still colorful.

Some ppl will argue there should have been one thing or another.
But Presonus listen to their customers. And they improve their soft. That's for sure

About the usual Protools/Cubase vs Studio One, i think S1 is a kind of "Logic for Windows".

I know a lot of ppl use Cubase for all, but i don't think tracking/mixing is good enough. And composition on Protools sucks big time.
So they shared the market without any real frontal battle on Win.

Now there is S1 on Windows, this is another story. Logic on Mac probably negate a lot of S1 sells. Very balanced DAW, too.
I see more ppl switching from Protools/Cubase to S1 on Win. And ppl on Mac switching from Cubase/Protools to Logic...and now to S1
    But a lot less.

Being multi-OS is a big plus to share projects and working "on the go" on different computers.
