hi guys, i have this problem. i never had trouble with Waves plugins installation, i skipped the latest release but then decided to update from v9r12 to v9r27. The first thing i notice is that the activation process now is different. I installed everything correctly and tested. today i opened a project inside Studio One and this message appear. I did everything on the notes as always. What shall i do now??

You have to generate a license file go get the new plugin work.
Please read the info of the release before post right?

 

You need to found waves shell vst in waves directory (in folder "Waveshells") and copy/paste over existing one in your VSTPlugIns folder!

EDIT: after you are done with licensing and patching, couse in this "new release" (i dont know for sure with which version this started) patch is patching only plugins in that folder(read above), so you have to do manually copy/paste VST's in your VST location

 

thanks for the first feedbacks. i installed everything correctly (yes, i read the installation notes). I tried everything yesterday and it worked, but now the authorization is gone.

 

you may have to uninstall (again) remove the registry links and start a new install from the latest release, note there are now 2 dlls to be in each of your various vst folders, program files(86) / common files / vst3 and program files (x86) / vstplugins and also program files / common files / vst3 and also program files / vstplugins for 64bit dlls (or where ever you have placed them)

create a new authorisation file and place it in the correct location progam data / waves audio / licences /
delete the old licence

 

SOLVED!

I had to restore the waveshalls for vst2 from the trash. even if installed correctly with latest release waveshells.dll MUST be present in the plugins folder. Now it's working but really don't know. don't like new stuff, i will probably downgrade to r12 or r20. thanks guys to everyone

 

I use patch from v9r26 and all work fine!! new reverb too... :P

was a pain in the ass afert the latest r26 release.

You have to create a new wle(license)-file and if you are on Win7/8 you have to put it in C:\ProgramData\Waves Audio\Licenses\ on WinXP: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data and on
MacOSX : /Library/Application Support/Waves/Licenses/.

To do this you have to open waves licence center first and copy your device id under local licenses (examione enclosed HowToFindDeviceID.jpg). Paste it into the keygen. Dont change name and save the licensefile in the folder i have given above. thats it. *puuuh*

Never understand this procedure anyway.

thats weird... cuz I never had a problem installing waves on mac... ever... and this release keeps not authorizing in logic.

Here's what MY problem was.

After countless releases that include both .xml licenses AND the keygens that create them (thus usually not having the need to even run the keygen) I have become programmed to neglect the keygen.

BUT... in this case, I had to run the damn keygen. That's it. Ran the Keygen (which I do with a free app called "Wine"*), copied over the device ID**, then moved the license file over to the appropriate folder... and voila. Up and runnin'.


* the trick with Wine, is figuring out where files are saved from keygens... hint... its in a folder in the hidden Library folder.

For example, mine is:

Library(the hidden one)/com.yourcompany.yourapp_85769685746352/Users/(Your name)/Desktop/WavesComplete(deviceID).wle

** the device ID can be found 2 places in Waves License Center (as shown in.jpg) and in the App Support/Waves/License .txt file (as stated above).

I had issues with the Mac release. because i don't use a windows computer and cant generate the licence thing

so the H verb wouldn't work and for some reason my manny plug ins wouldn't work but everything else was ok

i used the patch for 26 and it authorised the h verb and now everything works fine again
