I use BeyerDynamic DT 990 Pro 250 OHM
abd BeyerDynamic DT 770 Pro 250 OHM

first one is better for mixing with headphone because it's an open headphone so with less hear- tired than the 770 Pro for example.

yeah it's not about what other people think it's about what you like.

go to a shop and try some out.

headphones and monitors are like girlfriends, what your friend has isn't necessarily what you want.

p.s dont get headphones with a huge bass boost. it'll ruin your mixes

Although these are more Hi-fi and you need something more suited for music production like this:

Edit: So in short MDR-7506, Sennheiser HD-280 Pro, Audio Technica ATH-M50x, BeyerDynamic DT 770 Pro, AKG K240 MKII, AKG K271 MKII, Shure SRH840 in low mid budget and Focal Spirit Professional(most neutral sounding headphone around that price and probably one of the best for music production, with great bottom end), Sony MDR-7520, Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro, Sennheiser 650 HD, Sennheiser 600 HD, NAD VISO HP50, AKG K712 Pro, Audio Technica ATH-R70x in high budget.

Although Audio Technica is not everyone's favorite, I use their headphones and mics, and most people will agree that they make decent sounding, quality gear.
