Well. To add in to this conversation, BE CAUTIOUS. You sending stems for a mixdown to someone (who does not first have you sign paperwork or you make them sign) is a bad idea. Why you ask? Copyright. You dont own shit. You just sent them an uncopyrighted work and are asking them to work on it. Especially some of these one posters here. They could snake your project and walk with it and release it as their own and copyright it right there. How? They have the stems. This shit happens all the time. I can make a fake facebook and fake myspace and fake webpage to lure people in and snake their works. But im not dishonorable, as many on this forum will agree.

Do not have anyone work on your work but you and someone you have had sign non-disclosure agreements and producer to engineer paperwork (being you are providing them YOUR work as a producer to have the OTHER PARTY engineer it, but it remains YOUR property). They wont sign, they dont get the work. Usually you have to pay for this kind of service. Unless someone is truly kind and established and is willing to help you figure out how to mix/master.

Charge 35-40 hourly to mix/master, and less for block recorders (whole album at the studio) and for repeat customers. Thats reasonable, if they know what they are doing. But always always always SIGN THE DAMN PAPERWORK.

 

Also check out fuad. Not exactly sure how much he charges but he's a great guy, very knowledgable and I'm sure he would be willing to work with you on the price. He did the song Awoken for the AudioSexed Album and he also makes great tutorial videos for Udemy as well as on his own.

 

amazing how many new members posting their very first post on AS requesting to offer their services, maybe they are legit, but as OrganicSpaceRaisedMoonBeef has pointed out, maybe not, be very very careful sending work to someone you do not know

request more info about their mixing/mastering credentials, get some details of previous clients and contact those clients for a reference, if you're serious about getting your work mixed / mastered by others, be serious to ensure you are not going to get ripped off
