Have had the chance to test the SonicCouture Hammersmith resently and I couldn´t resist making a very simple demo of it!

All I used was:

Cubase, Kontakt and Hammersmith! No editing afterward or like, just the hardcore piano library up against a simple midifile .... thats all!

My opinion:

Best grand ever released as a virtual instrument .... period!

 

This sounds phlooping incredible , and you sure can play one heck of a bad-ass midi file, brother.

 

Thanks - this is great! It does have that sort of "mechanical" playing-along feel, though Bach is usually rendered mechanistically by human players - but the nuances of touch are hereby shown to be realistic ("human") even as-is. SonicCouture "do" each instrument very well.

 

Would you mind posting the MIDI file so we can compare it to other pianos?

Hi fiction .... I´ll see if I can find it. Right now I only has it as a integrated midi-track in a Cubase project for testing pianos in general..... but maybe I have saved the actual midi-file somewhere?!?! I´ll pm you if I find it!

Mechanical this version is indeed .... might not be the very best midi-file I´ve chosed for the job, but if you listen just briefly close to the sound, you´ll have all the dynamics, coulors etc wich I´ve never heard that good ever when it comes to a sampled grand!

This is a very primitive way of showing the protential of this library, and that was the whole plan right from the start! .... to stay from any make-up etc!
