    Great. Keep on.

What is old has proven its value (or lack of it).

No necessarily, but they're industry standard. Hence the previous point.

Well, you're not the one I was answering to, so...

    my oh my
lots of answers but not to my questions.
i own my copy, and it's good workhorse up to a point. have you tried posting on the presonus forums? i don't see much activity and certainly don't get a lot of feedback on there. it is not good. anyway, bollocks to all this. i only wanted some opinions about rewire but all i get is a shouting match.
you know the saying : "an empty wagon makes the most noise"
why bother replying if all you are going to post are basically ad-hominem attacks, irrelevant tosh about piracy ( i am sure i am not alone in using 'illegitimate' softs from time to time but i don't often - if i do it's to try stuff out etc, like most others i would assume.
but, as i stated, i am trying to work with what i have and what is legit so i can actually make some f**kin music. i am bored with never ending 'this daw's shit..this daw is the dogs nads.. nah-nah-nee-nah nah, you criminal' type gibber, everyone seems to talk about anything BUT music. all i asked for was opinion and some technical advice. after all this forum is for that isn't it? or am i mistaken?
and, i am aware some of the issues i am having are related to the machine i have. again, i am only asking questions to get the benefit of other users opinions. i have to work with what i have, what with it being the 'age of austerity' 'n' that. and i am fairly productive.
but into each some life some rain must fall, yes?
limitations are good, good for discipline, good for productivity, but you have to find out what the limitations are before you can recognize then and work within and around them.
    happy easter

i seen a few things that were posted here that could help you,
make sure your useing the right rewright,
reinstall fl studio rewright and see if it works again,
sometimes studio one could pick the wrong one and try to open a old fl studio
if there are more than one in your plugins folder so you would get this error,

what i would do is rename the studio one folder in my documents
the one that your songs ,macros ect are in,
Then rename the studio one program folder in program files
rename them folders to any thing just as a back up.
then load in studio one again ,start it up and see how it works,

just got this pop up from avast as i was wrighting this lol
we can see that you are using a illegal copy of avast,
for full protection from viruses and ( lawyers ) you need to switch to a legal copy now ha ha
more like time to get a new cr@cked ser, mind you this one lasted just over a year :lmao:

ps 450 days left now :bleh:

well, You are complaining about some design solutions of Studio One; You are not able to use the rewire as You wanted... so change the freaking DAW!
I can`t reproduce any of the problems You mentioned, everything works fine... and the design of the DAW is what it is... so, actually what do You want ???

    btw.
The thread title " Studio One is beginning to become a bad choice rewire problems is the least of it.. " is I would say rather a statement than a question ?!?

The funny thing is that disabling "rewire service" fixed most of my problems.

I spend a lot of time trying different release of Studio One, I can definitely tell you that some release are better than others. Better like less crash and less bugs.

This are the best release in order of stability:

1)2.5.0 it's my first version and the most stable version never had one single crash.

2)2.6.3 it's the release I'm using now. Sometimes get some dialog error after closing studio one. But it's ok

3)2.6.0 Again some crash here but nothing crazy. Ok version

    Worst versions
1)2.5.2 a nightmare, crash for everything
    2)2.6.2 another bad release
3)2.5.1/2.6.1 just equally bad, not that much but bad enough to skip to another version.

Try different release and see which work best for you.

*versions tested using the same settings

The one thing about Studio one is those that do not understand it, REX works as it should , is in some cases better than most other DAWs, the one the problem with Rewire so far has been Ableton but I'm sure that will get sorted out. Oh and the mem leaks, that is a problem on some of the older boxes that have very few gigs of ram but anything over 8 has been great for me/ Of course there are limitations like any other DAW and they do differ from DAW to DAW, so before I go on and on.. would the O.P. please a link or restate his problems with Studio One?? In this thread? That would be great. I will merge the two if you have in the past. I also have a few problems myself but nothing I have not learned a work around for, so maybe Mr. filtersweep, we can help each other out, BUT and it a big BUT i got my copy from Presonus at a Party in New Orleans years ago so I am not even sure If what I have it up to date as a proper release or am I stuck in that Beta testing loop, my account page says otherwise but I'm pretty sure that few things are missing after I read the Spec sheet and did a comparison. So far so good but if what the OP says is true on his part , it has to be true for others, just not all, so c'mon fellas, Any Studio One users out there , please respond!! I will love to hear more of the plus and negs of this DAW

I use the last version, and i don't have any crash.. i just use the plugins that i know they're stable, i think crashes depend on that,
what problems did you fix by disabling rewire ?
    Should i do that ?

i'm happy for you. i have it too but don't use it that much since 2.6.3 is stable for me.

with this changelog there no real reason to run the latest version (atleast for windows)

-Enhanced SoundCloud integration through support of their new API
-[OSX] Save As dialog path is the folder again

"i just use the plugins that i know they're stable"

i believe everyone here runs stable plugins what the point of running unstable plugins?? or what plugins are unstable for you?

Disabling Rewire fixed some random crashes with larger projects with Ni fm8, Kore and other minor vsti, i always disable service that i don't need to keep everything essential

if your daw is stable don't change anything

yes it's statement, hence it's the title of the thread.
there are some really angry knuckleheads on these forums.
don't waste time saying "just change your daw'. i don't have the time or the money, so i am trying to make the best of a situation.
maybe just post when you have something constructive to say. i am sure there are many more threads you can fill up with your inane typins.
