2 Days Ago When i was working on my second laptop , the partition in my drive that has the Windows 7 Home Premium fail to boot to restore it to system factory

i contact HP Support & Microsoft Support they both didn't help At All , So I DID Deleted The Partition that has the system and install windows 7 Professional From

Bootable DVD of My New Laptop ; The Problem is that the serial number that i have in COA Sticker is OEM SO Windows 7 didn't Get Activated

So I DID my RESEARCH FOR OEM VERSION OF WINDOWS 7 ISO BUT NOTHING COME UP

SO , is there anyone having this Issue of using LEGAL LICENSE KEY OEM ON OTHER VERSION OF Windows 7

 

It's likely the serial on your laptop is for Home Premium. You need to install that version of Windows 7. You cannot use Home Premium key for Professional, unless you upgrade that key with WAU (that costs money). *yes*

You will need your serial number to dowload as this is the offical Microsoft ISO download page.

You can go here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

Then insert your key and follow the prompts. It'll allow you to download your version of Windows and it actually activates it automatically for you. All legit. It worked wonders for me.

EDIT: I just checked and this is not for EOM versions. Bummer. The only options is to contact Microsoft through here (check under the 'Replacement OEM or system builder software media' heading, and request a new disc...
