    Hi there,

Currently I have a home studio with a friend of mine.
The acoustics are done great and everything sounds okay.

    We currently use 2x rokit rp6 g2.
We use the apollo guad for the audio and we feel like the rokit's are not good enough anymore for our projects and mixing.

Do you guys have any recommendations for new monitors? Our budget will be around 800-1000EURO.
    Let me know :D

It's ridiculous to use UAD plugs and hardware given their price if you don't buy pro audio monitors.... my two cents

fyi Universal Audio seems to be associated with Focal Professional which is featured in a lot of their studios.

    like these ones:

the model is the CMS65 which is an excellent starting point for pro audio monitors

if you have more money to invest, you could get these ones:
    https://youtu.be/PYo7dh9B8wc?t=68

(solo 6Be) which are featured in a lot of pro studios, not only at Universal Audio

and if you believe me that monitors are actually VERY important, you can get monitors from PSI Audio which are used are IRCAM, but they are very expensive especially since they are swiss made (currency).

I thought the JBLs sounded so good for the $$$$, that I bought both the 305s and 308s (308 for studio, 305 for living room studio). Don't buy into the ADAM hype.

Also, have a look at these :

Check out the Focal Alpha or SM6 series, they definetly worth the money. I work with the Focal Twin 6Be. :mates:

I'd recommend the Lipinski L-70, but unfortunately that's a price above the range you mentioned.
Don't know them from personal experience, but the Unity Audio The Rock Mk.II Pro might also be interesting (although price may still not fit completely...).
In terms of coaxial ("one-point-source") monitors, you may have a look at KS Digital with their D-Line of monitors (don`t know their price range).

KRK's are quite coloured in my opinion, and don't give that true of an image.

I'd recommend something by Mackie, Adam, or Genelec.

First you suggest not to buy into ADAM hype and then suggest those decade-old overhyped POS called Equators? Seriously, this is so yesterday's news it's not even funny. Everyone who bought into Equator hype sold them about 7 years ago.

Old black ADAM S-series are very decent studio monitors. ADAM S2.5 are very nice for their price.

Do you have an idea why those are legendary? Those are used as mixing secondary shit-control pairs, not as a main music production pair. They would just blow in a couple of years from sound design experiments producers will put them through.

Don't even suggest such things. This is utter nonsense for a producing musician to utilize NS-10s.
