Could Not Extract? Why?

    I've been trying for the longest to open rar's of NI products. When I try to open them a dialogue box opens that says, "Could not extract the file "Session-Guitarist-Acoustic.iso" from the archive "SGSA.part09.rar": Error on decrunching

    What am I doing wrong that woudl cause such a challenge. Thanks!

    make sure u have a new version of winrar if ur using that...try that first and if no luck, reply back and someone here out of all of us could help u out :mates:

    also try downloading again the rar that is showing the error, could be a corrupted download

    If you have a virusscanner like for example Avast, then try to disable it for 5 minutes. Avast corrupts RAR files sometimes, because it think it's suspicious.

    why do people still run anti virus programs? so to speak - avast was one of the weakest one a guy try to fool, i cant remember from where i got the paper.

    Avast was fine, but now it sees too much stuff as a potential threat. In theory you could do without an anti-virus program, but I rather have it blocking the little threats for me (which could be harmfull) than be scared and don't surf the web. Obviously nothing is 100% safe, so imo a mix of good common sense and a program that helps should be good.
