hey guys i have a pretty big problem with fl well a few problems was wondering if anyone has the solution.

ok so the biggest problem is my mixer keeps resetting for no reason. like ill mix down a song save it then come back to it and everything thing in the mixer has been rest. the names of things reset. all my FX chain on some of the channels disappear. so i go back spend hours redoing everything then i save it go back to it the next day and the same thing happens. i try to revert to the last save but the same thing happens. not sure what to do.

next up is why the hell does my sample bank on the side go black or freezes and im unable to use any samples.

then on top of that sometimes plugins will just stop working for no reason. this generally happens when the mixer shits its self.

i have a legit copy of fl so not sure why its so buggy. it doesn't really happen when i first start a project. most of the problems happen when it starts to get big.

its getting to the point where im going to another DAW tho i really dont want to mainly because of the time it will take to re learn a DAW.
so if anyone has any answers that would be great.

I'm not sure if this helps but I had a similar mixer issue when I was trying to save my projects on a hard drive that was full. It couldn't save the files correctly and mixer information (names/levels/fx/etc.) got lost.
But judging from all those other problems there might be some issue with the FL installation itself.

Which version of Windows do you use? 32bit or 64bit? Which FL version? (beta?/32bit or 64bit?)
How "clean" would you say is your computer? Do you have many programs or games installed? Are there many applications/processes running all the time?
(I've seen people complain about computer problems who had about 30 little icons on the bottom right of their task-bar )

Some general things you might try is starting FL as administrator or closing all other applications you're running. Maybe defrag or use CC Cleaner depending on when you set up your Windows.

 

what version are u currently using? do u use any fabfilter effects?
we would kindly help u, but have u tried the fl studio forums?

 

I'm a pc guy and I'm going to agree with Index on this one. What are your PC Specs? And it sounds like a save error somewhere. Do you save to another hard drive? Or just default save location. Re-Install and try to re-load your projects! Also have you run a recent virus scan?? If not do that also! Run all maintanence too, defrag etc! Ive never had a single issue with my FL Studio, Been using 11 since release and 10 before that! While ive never had issues with FL Studio, I did however, once have issues with premier elements 12, every vid save wouldnt load back up, it would load all project files but not the project, so i had to start over, it corrupted the save files, i re-installed and it fixed it!

 

Just out of curiousity, why do you ask about FabFilter specifically? Is there known issues I'm unaware of?

 

well, I don't own the legit versions of their package so I actually can't say it's fab channel itself, but I had all kind of strange behavior on several setups (different pc same combination)
my solution was changing a registry key to turn of hardware acceleration and switching to the 32 bit version, witch normally would be illogical because I run fl studio in 64 bits

 

Interesting. I had the cracked versions but ended up purchasing them all to support the developers since they are amazing products that I use almost every mix(I also wanted the AAX plugs since the cracked version doesn't work with PT11), and I don't recall having problems with either versions. Maybe I just got lucky. Hopefully that luck continues. Lol.
