Sounds like a voice (vocal) into a sampler (ex.kontakt) and made a melody note, out of it.

At first I just heard (underneath that flange-y recording) an auto-tuned falsetto. :)

Thanks Menorah! It's free and sounds alot better than Korg Miku (well, it's a matter of taste..):

"auto-tuned falsetto" meaning that the singer sang the piece in higher note through auto-tune? I Know i sound like a crazy ***, This is my life and my only way of making money out, i don't like anything other than the music, Hmm I like real estate, Risky job though.

    Yes! Auto-tuned falsetto!
What's so hard? Why do I need to keep repeating things?

Also, music/production/writing/sound design should preferably be fun - not seen as a job career. Maybe I misunderstood, but that's what you wrote.

I'm just sharing my ideas and impressions, pointing you in a direction. You are the one who has to do the dirt. Google, study, read, observe, try and fail.
I can not tell you everything on a forum, holding your hand. If I did, you will not teach yourself.

    Hi Calvin,

If you want an easier understanding "method", let's try it this way:

Falsetto is the highest vocal register, so if you sample a normal vocal and bring it one or more octaves up, you create that "falsetto" effect. Now if you apply the auto-tune effect over that high pitched vocal, you just got an "autotuned falsetto". So take the "falsetto" thing as "high-pitched" meaning.

Aside from that, a more creative and flexible way is by opening up a sampler (most of them can get the job done, even the Daw's built-in ones), chop some parts of a certain vocal, import them in, pitch them up 12 semitones or more (most of the samplers have a "tune" knob), play with the starting points of the samples, stretch them too, assign some lfo modulation for the "vibrato" effect if you need it and just keep experimenting.

Baxter is right. The thing is that regardless of how much intel we get from other people, we just need to use it as checkpoints, because the best knowledge we can earn is actually through practical situations. Let's face it, the quality of the end result of a certain production is based on how well you can use these techniques practically and there's no easy or quick way to do it rather than just keep experimenting with these techniques through practical sessions daily.

You can never expect higher results than the work you put in. That's a fact.

Kinda Off Topic*: Check: www.rescuetime.com , buy yourself a premium account (is not that expensive and it packs more cool features) and at the end of the day, check how much time you spend on actually producing, detailed reports and also the way you spent your time on your computer. This thing can help you keeping track of your time and also being more aware of how you actually spend your time, because we don't realize the way we spend it sometimes.
Be more organized! Set yourself a fixed amount of "research & learning" for each day, let's say 2 hours of "checking forums and watching tutorials" activity for each day. The rest you should spend it on actually producing music. Make sure you stick to your rules and do not break your organized time.

I invite you to set the daily goal to "6 hours per day" of productive time as a MINIMUM (not continously though, you can take breaks, a tea, a walk, a snack or anything you need in between) and see if you can sum up this time amount(or higher, lol) at the end of the day.(exclude the days you're busy with something else, or at school, or on a vacation or something). You'll be curious about the weekly reports as well.

Regarding "time-tracking" thing, i know Toggl as a similar free alternative, but still features a premium version as well. In Toggl you must type in the type of work you're doing on that day, while, RescueTime seems to be more clever, by showing you exactly what you did in that day, the software you ran, for how long, what websites you visited and also a quick representation of how much "productive time" you achieved and how much "distractive time" you spent, which looks more cooler to me.
