I am in need of ISO Image Mounting Software. Any Suggestions on something solid and not riddled with malware?

    Me: Win7 64bit

I thank you kindly for your time!

Been using DAEMON Tools for a while now, definitely recommend it to you!

It's pretty solid, light and simple to use, plus, it's completely free :grooves:

Daemon tools was super good for long time, then come adware / pay version / stupid interface.

    For old systems (x86) i use 4.00HE. For newer systems (x64) i use 4.9.1.0.(x64).

But most things i dont need mount, i just extract with winrar and run without problems. I cant remember last thing i -need- to mount.

I use this for about 2 or 3 years now after Deamontools suddenly came with malware/adware crap bundled.

    http://www.gburner.com/online-help/virtual-drive.htm

It's free and does the job perfect for me.

    I use it too ..

very easy, not invasive into your system. and free if i remember correctly.
    i give it 10/10
(one down point - that isnt one for me, you can't mount CD's in E-mu, Akai, or similar unusual format)
Integrated in shell ( right-click on ISO file and choose mount)
Up to 15 simultaneous virtual drive ...

daemon tools just simply works.. daemon-tools.cc

Just watch what you enable / disable during install (sometimes you gotta click 'no I dont want this', sometimes you need to click 'yes leave me alone'.. just read and it is safe :)).
'stupid interface' what I read here doesn't apply to me apparently, I just double-click an ISO and when I'm done I right click the drive in 'my computer' and click 'eject' and it's gone. I don't see any interface.

Is .ISO loading not included by default in Windows? I need daemon-tools when I need to mount bin/cue or NRG or some other format, but regular .iso works out of the box I believe (in ultimate maybe, don't know).

Magicdisc is most efficient by far for me.
But Winarchiver Virtual Drive is good one as well. It also supports mounting ZIP and RAR archives, which is very handy

dtools lite, using those fuckers since I can remember. At least 15 years.
Yes, they have been using adware (it was always optional, though), but since 4.3.0 it's totally free again with no adware attached.

    -2 for Daemon Tools.

1 for forced installation of OpenCandy and 1 for sending your image details, statistics etc. together with your IP to MountSpace.

If you're on an older Windows without the ability to mount ISOs without 3rd party tools, then Virtual CloneDrive might be a good choice.

The adware installation on dt was always optional. Opt-out though, so if you click before you think you're done for. As always.
The adware is no longer included.
It goes without saying that you block everything that wants to connect to the interwebs and isn't supposed to.

Daemon Tools bad! It also installs an SPTD driver to interface with your DVD drive. I don't have proof but I think that SPTD driver burns out DVD drives prematurely! Also, try uninstalling SPTD driver, you can't! You can only disable it!

So if you want to use a free virtual drive, yes Slysoft virtual clone drive is good! If you want to buy, or five finger one, then Power ISO or Ultra ISO is best!
