How to replicate this effect

    Theres a sweeping distortion of some sorts on his voice, any idea how to do this in Cubase? or the name of the technique?

    Sounds like it's a single overdrive/distortion setting with the vocal being pitched up and down without affecting the length of the phrasing, pretty cool effect, like it's speeding up and down without the phrase changing length, maybe an lfo attached to a pitcher with overdrive/distortion.

    probably could do it with Ableton

    Thanks guys, I found that Antares Autotune VST has the "Throat" feature, and combined with the automation in Cubase I was able to do something quite similar.
