    Hey Guys

Can anyone help me, I'm looking for a vst plugin that simply shows the chord you are playing over MIDI? I remember that cubase used to have this feature built in, but I am using Live and Pro Tools now and miss this feature. At the moment I have to hunt chords down by ear and then consult a chord sheet, it is a bit slow!

I can play a little bit of keyboards but I don't know my chords especially some of the more sophisticated jazzy type things! I know that you can do this in sibelius etc but I'm looking for a straight plugin for a simple job!

    Thanks in advance

what would be even better is a general audio source tuner which told you the key of any audio playing on that track...so you'd know what key samples are in and can play accordingly

    Hi

The best programme I have found is Guitar Chord Buster Pro

The programme shows you the neck of a guitar on which you put dots where your fingers are on your own guitar and tells you its name. It will also play the chord so that you can compare the two

I have found it to be really great

    Try it

    Regards

    Jonmoi

This should be built-in feature in every DAW. It'd make life a little easier. I know it's a built-in feature in Logic Pro, but that probably doesn't help...

Thanks Guys for the replies nut nothing coming up good yet!!

All i need to see is C, Db, Em7 etc

Seems like there is a demand for a simple chord display. I'm thinking of trying to develop this thing myself, gonna try and learn how to program vst's!!!

I wish u would, its number one on my list... seems like there would be one already, someone could make a fortune..

also then to be able to drag any chord onto a track and create progressions

    would be a God send.

Thanks I haven't tried these I will have a look.

I'm looking for something really simple that works over MIDI and just shows the chord name, not a synth or sampler.

I have found a similar thing here http://www.gootar.com/piano/ but this is not a vst but it does do what I want if this was a VST this would be perfect!!

I just wanted to add this. Great plugin. A little donation will give you all future updates and it's 64-bit.
