So you are saying that DSP-Card can use their calculation power to support cpu from heavy duties. I know UAD cards use their power only for UAD plugins. Can you point me some example, i'm interested in this.

 

@Mostwet: MY freind i dont know much about dsp cards. I just know that they exist and they are used to relieve the CPU. But I also know that UAD satelite as a DSP-Module uses/used alot of CPU power. So i said to myself. Whats the deal then, if it consumes to much CPU power anyway. Watch Vespers review on Youtube about it. So i dont know if its brand dependent.
Best informations you can find is to goole it. Try searching for "Best DSP card" or "Top 10 DSP card".

Thanks for all the replies, I bought this laptop beacuse I travel a lot and I wanted my music production to be with me no mather where I go after I saw that VST plugins get the CPU graph bar at half at the FL Studio It seems that I waste my money on this laptop. If anyone knows solution to my problem feel free to write down

 

Ok, to sum up:

1. Use ASIO drivers (google is your friend)
2. Increase buffer size (if you still got dropouts).

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your hardware.

 

I use ASIO4ALL drivers, I increase the buffer size but still have the same problem on my PC I can load more than 10 VST plugins and everything goes well

 

cam4hdd. Whic plugins do you use. Some plugins they dont use much cpu while others do, like U-he Diva or Zebra. And watch out your masterchannel that you dont go over 0db. otherwise you get crackles too Also activate multicore support on your DAW. In Ableton live you can do it wia preferences -> CPU.

 

I use a lot: Kontakt 5, Trilian, Omnisphere, Waves, Izotope Ozone, Addictive Drums 2, Guitar Rig and Amplitube

 

Izotope Ozone is a CPU killer at least 30% just only for being there. So dont use Ozone in the mixing process. Dont us any plugins on Masterchannel while producing. Later if your mix is finisched, freeze or bounce all tracks and than add Ozone @ Masterchannel to premaster the track.

 

DSP Cards are developer dependant ie UAD. or if you're willing to spend a lot of money for a Pro Tools HD rig you can offload the processing of TDM versions of plugins (several major developers support this format). This is how you see guys running 10 instances of Waves TG1234.

I personally suggest just buying a new computer, quad core i5 desktops running at 3.x ghz with 8-12gb ram cost $5-600 nowadays. Mainly because I dont think VSTis support any type of DSP and those are the biggest processor hogs of all time.

your laptp very fine already. intel cause problem 4 u changing cpu speed allways. not god for music. must turn off speedstep - throttling - set for high performance.
