    Hi all,
Any recommendations welcome. My current PB is an older Tascam PB32H which I use with my outboard rack gear, such as synth modules, midi patchbay and processors. It's running out of available slots.

My audio/midi outboard interface is a modest M-Audio firewire Audiophile box with 2-ins, 4-outs plus 1 midi in and out. Thinking of Ebay or private transaction. Hosa was a popular brand years ago but I don't think they make PBs any more.

A simple patchbay would be good since my brain fills up really fast!

    Cheers and thanks

Don't know about the quality, but this is the patchbay I intend to get when the need arises for it:

    http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/SPatchPlus

it has switches on the front panel so you can easily change between normal/half/through which is something that im surprised no one else is doing.

Currently I have no need for a patchbay but at some point in the future I'm sure I'm going to need it. This look like a really solid one and it's cheap, too. Thanks for a heads up MYCbeats!

    No problem man.

Though its not THAT cheap, its original price is twice that of the standard DBX patchbay but for some reason its on one of those sweetwater infinite sales lol.

I like to keep a list of gear that I may need in the future.

God bless my credit card when I move to a place with more room for gear.

The forum just wiped out my studious reply and thank you twice so this time I'll just say thanks MYCbeats! Cost of freight, local tax pushed the deal into $US250.00 range

Sweetwater people are pretty good to me. If you buy enough stuff, they will work with you on some things. Most internet prices on most items are the same from one company to the next. If you have the time and solder skills, not hard to build. It used to be part of the learning curve in a real studio-soldering a patch bay together.

I recommend for home user/budget studio etc Behringer Ultrapatch Pro PX3000

I run 6 of them and never had any issues.

I thought the title refers to "The Piratebay" and Patchbay is just a codename/funname ^^ rofl. Alter Groschen :D

Thanks for the tip The-RoBoT. I see one of these in Auckland for $NZ199.00. I don't need a top-class studio patchbay monster and this one should do nicely.

  11. Behringer customer here! Go with the PX3000 and dont look back...
