they need to come out with a version you can just drag and drop audio into! having to sit there and record every loop you want to put on is a bitchhh...and is it just me or does melodyne feel like a 90's version program? They need to give the interface a more modern ableton type sequencer view or something.

    Any thoughts?

    Looks interesting...

is it really better than ableton live? Because i've mastered ableton for the past year and I can make amazing tracks on it quickly and easily...whats makes studio one better?

Been having a "little" play with Melodyne this afternoon.

    Fook but it is AMAZING!!!

I LOVE a bit of glitchy Female vocal House. Just hints at words, the vox is the important bit for Me.

Load an acapella into Melodyne, let it have it`s way with yon file, then just click on separate "blobs"............

    INSTANT GIRLIE GLITCH HEAVEN!!!

I am impressed and I haven`t even got into the tutorial vids for it yet.

THANK YOU UNION! Seems Xmas has indeed come early. :mates:

i like it a lot...i just wish maniuplating notes was a bit easier....i just feel like its a 90's program...like with ableton everything snaps amazingly and the flow of working with notes is quick and easy

    Agree 100% iownu1000.

I think when You start to see the capabilities behind the out dated method of getting there, it kinda just aint that much of a gripe.

Still Bro, You have it right, a shot of 2012 mojo would make it a "nicer" place to be and work in. *yes*

I switched from Live to StudoOne.

    StudioOne is stable as rock.
CPU friendly, and works at half CPU with same setup of VST Synth and effects then Live.
StudioOne works internally at 64bit and you can work at 64 bit on XP32bit if you like.
Perfect for headroom and is also the reason why it has a clean and clear sound.
The EQ is amazing and all other native effects too.

Ableton Live is very good at sound design, routing and other experimental things,
but I use it only for that and do all other work with StudioOne.

Run a test on your own...
Use only third part VST synth and effects and add them till you reach 50% on Live.
Then set the same synth and effects in StudioOne and see by yourself.
And finally export the results as audio.
Then listen on any media player how those exports sound and which you like more.

Also go search for the mastering tutorials on Presonus site.
Watch how easy mastering is with StudioOne.

if you use the standalone version to edit your files outside the DAW. Thats drag and drop.
