I have upgraded from Cubase 6 to 6.5, then to 7 and then to 7.5. Each upgrade has cost me about £40-42.

Just went to see how much the Cubase 8 upgrade is. This time they have double the cost and the upgrade from 7.5 to 8 is £82!!!!!!! That is even though the cost of the full software has remained the same at £440?!?!

 

I'm pretty sure if you wait there will be 30%/40%/50% discount offers available sometime next year

 

I was skeptical... but I just watched all the info videos. I like a lot of the updates, things I was really irritated by in the past seem to be resolved. I will wait for some discount offers as well Hopefully this christmas already ;)

 

Cubase is way better than Pro Tools awesome

 

I know somewhere in the new Cubase there is a way to align vocals easier

 

the only thing that might suck with this new version is that is totally 64 bit and won't support 32-bit plugins hopefully not

 

The internal bridge still supports any 32bit.

 

Let's hope that Steiny will leak at least Cubase 6 Full version for warez :D It's been a long time, and a lot of people are still on V5.

Or Presonus release a new improved Studio One 3 and I migrate to S1 totally :D

Meanwhile I'm experimenting with Reaper and have mixed a lot of projects in it, but sadly the only place I can find for him is as a backup daw.

Upgrades are expensive at steinberg store .... Try Music store in Cologne ( Köln ,Germany )!!!

it did ask for 32 or 64 bit on installation...so no worries i think

 

Take note Propellerheads, charging $129 for your minor update - Cubase major update only $99. Your shite is overpriced. Rack this.

 

About "Render in place", does it renders just the midi clip or also the FX loaded on that track?

 

I ordered the update from 7.5 to 8 and eagerly waiting for the mail from them
