My options are:

refurbished M5 MacBook with 24gb and either 1 or 2 terabytes storage 1,609/1,949

M4 pro Mac mini with 24gb and 1 terabyte 1,799

I was surprised how much cheaper the refurbished models were but they don’t come with the M5 Pro or above and was wondering how much better or similar in power it is for music production (and Minecraft too), I might not be in...

I’m getting the following macOS installer error when trying to install a Kontakt library from an ISO file which has a .pkg installer:

“The Installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install.”

This happens immediately after launching the macOS installer (.pkg) contained in the ISO.

I am running Monterey on an M1 Max Macbook Pro.

I have installed Arturia V Collection X v27.08.2024 macOS and ran all the patches, the patches run and give me no errors, however the AU/VST and standalone versions of the plugins show up in demo mode.

I tried patching using sudo sh, and sudo chmod -R 777.

I made sure xcode-select is installed, and gatekeeper is disabled using sudo spctl --master-disable.

Yesterday i had a big success to fire up my old Wizoo Darbuka & Latigo VST on my Macbook M4.
It runs stable.
I was really happy so i want to share the Basics with you.

This is not a Full Tutorial, just a Kickstarter It´s also not a guarantee that your VST will run.
It needs also some basic understanding in Whisky/Wine/Crossover whatever.
Why this setup?

deleting the .xml file from:
Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Service Center

Deleted the .plist file from:
Library/Preferences
and also from:
User-specific* Library/Preferences

They still show up in K8.

There must be an easier way to do this?

at the moment no big AU problems in Logic.
Korg, Spectrasonics, Roland, U-He, xfer Records, U-JAM, Waves, PluginAlliance, Izoptope and so on seems it works
