    Hi folks!

Just wrapped this colab up with @Midge F ... a little Hospital vibe liquid roller if you're into that sort of thing

Also, big hug and shout out to Midge for his patience and support, it took a little longer to finalize than expected. Stay tuned for more soon!

Not my kind of music generally but it sounds really good. Nice energy, nice melodics. Nice breakdown. The track kind of reminds me of Ibiza in the 2000s on the beach bars, Del Mar etc.

Cool! I really like it! Nice chilling vibe.
I like the most 2:40 part, really nice!
Trumpets like, then reversed "glitter" like sounds and vocal.
    Very calming. Cool! :chilling:
    Well done!

Honestly speaking, as an amateur producer I feel awkward commenting on your tracks lately, cause they sound as good and complete as any professional musician's
Great vibe this one has, I can tell that!

    @Zoketula @reziduchamp @Aidene @Margaret : Thank you!

I still consider myself a novice even though it feels like Ive been making tunes as a bedroom producer forever and I'm content lately to be more consistent with my output. As always, appreciate your input and kind words, thank you so much man :mates:

Nice work folks and congrats on the release.

Love the high string/synth atmospheric bed, the subtle use of vocals and that horn element in the second half. Definitely a roller.

edit: I'm always looking to streamline my collab process, would either of you mind sharing a little about how you worked technically and creatively on the project?

Helps that we both use Bitwig 5, so we can share project files and send them back and forth. Having a similar vision for a tune and communication about what's needed/needs nuking and plenty of patience if you have other things in your life. It's like being in a band, but remotely, so no punch-ups and poor bodily hygiene, etc. Having similar tastes in music also is a bonus.

I'm sure @aymat can give you far more on the creative and technical sides, tho'.

@ClarSum Thank you! Also, Basically everything Midge said

The track was an unfinished project I started a few years back that Midge felt had potential. It was a basic 16 bar loop, just the break and chord progression. Midge provided the bass and pads which really solidified the foundation and made it a lot easier to flesh out. Admittedly, I did bogart the project but because the track isn't overly complicated (less than 30 parts) and Midge nailed the vibe early on, it just came together quickly so there wasn't much back and forth, if any.

As far as streamlining, we both work in Bitwig so we managed the project that way. I personally don't use a lot of plugins (basic eq, compression, panning) and anything with fx or automation gets bounced to audio to keep things simple and not having to worry about missing plugins, etc. The next track is one of Midge's projects and already pretty fleshed out so it'll be mostly arranging, really excited to progress the workflow and to see how it turns out.

Thank you very much for the replies.

Using the same DAW definitely cuts out most of the technical headaches and with something as powerful as bitwig I imagine that makes it even easier.
Resurrecting unfinished material or ideas via the perspective of someone else is such an underrated situation for the solo musician, highly recommend to everyone. I love that you two have connected like this, seem to have a great vibe and the outcome be so positive.

I look forward to hearing Midge's project next and hopefully many more in the future. Salute*
