I won't lie, this thread entertains me. Back in the day this is just what music sounded like when you didn't have a thousand useless toys and effects to throw at it. You got good players in a good room with good equipment and printed it.

    Hello, shinyzen
    I agree.
Do you have a reason behind it?

    I don't know about that.
I know this song from my friend, she's a singer. He recommended this song to me.
And she grew up hearing/knowing this song too.

    Wow.... :woot:
But believe it or not, the song really feels good and catchy to my ears.

I've considered it and taken all the input here. All input here has been very helpful in many aspects for me, from production, history, and insight.

I didn't realize that De-essing is a matter that has not been resolved until now. I mean preventing-wise.
Can't we prevent it by using tools or a way? For example, tilting the mic position slightly downward when recording vocals. I'm not sure if it works 100% or not.

    Nice point

    Many thanks, :mates:

    Ahhh I see.

    What is this mean, LOL?

Ahh yes, the reference sounds mono, right?

    Hello, Trurl
    Interesting.

    :keys::keys::keys::keys::keys::keys::keys:

Ahhhh same for me. You know like super sentai, kamen rider, etc, many ost of old series has similar vibes.

Cool, many thanks for your thoughts, :mates:

I really want to work with singers who have the mindset you are talking about. And I agree with what you said.

I am very interested in the tone and bass playing in this song. The combination with all the instruments makes everything sound groovy in my opinion.

Awesome. Many thanks for your recommendation, now those verbs come in mind.

    Notted.
Verbsuite is my go to reverb actually before Valhalla.

    Ohhh right, cool

Did you mean Arturia Rev LX-24? I've never tried it. But it's a good idea for me to start trying. Thank you.

    Roger that

Ahhh I understand. So that the signal goes through emulation so that at least it gets the effect of the vintage impression, right? Cool.

    Wow :woot:
This can give me multiple points of view, which is good. :invision:

Many thanks for your help and advices.
Have a wonderful day always,.

Ahh nice to know, sir :shalom:
    Thanks for it.

    Wow.
I googled them all and found them to be truly amazing in their field.

    I see.
Now I get it and make sense relate to this thread case.
But I wonder why Japanese put so much effort to this stuff (Hi-Fi) at that time? Why not other countries? But you can skip my question if it to far and not relate to the topic.

    Ahhh I understand now.
There are things that are more unique that cannot be found in every place.
It is "gold" for sure in my opinion.

I didn't expect de-essing to be so complicated in the past.
But I'm curious, do today's hardware de-essers work better than the plugins (VST) versions?
Or perhaps a more precise question is, as time goes by, are de-esser plugins able to completely replace all de-essing jobs nowadays?
Or are there really pros and cons between hardware and software when it comes to De-essers nowadays? (sorry if out of topic).

Oh nooo, I never know this product until you mention it.
I visiting they web site :
    https://www.denon.com/en-us/
And found interesting stuff. Thanks for information.

I haven't hear those brand in my country until now.
Umm Sony and Canon are more familiar here.

    Hahaha, you are absolutely right.
I googled everything you said and I found a lot of new things. thank you for the insight.
Have a great day always.

    That's interesting.
My sister and I once made a Japanese song using Google Translate and Vocaloid. And it turns out Japanese language is not that simple.

It's a malapropism of Soothe and Trackspacer (like facebug or bacefook instead of facebook). :winker:

Hello, this video accidentally came across my youtube feed.
I see this is official from it's youtube channel and is the latest version.

And I bet it uses mixing and mastering with a different approach than the original version.

Since the question "which is better?" between the two versions is very subjective, maybe I'll let the video be present in this post.
Who knows, someone might want to comment on the mixing and mastering characteristics of this latest version compared to the previous one.

But I wonder, is this latest version the embodiment of "vintage sound in the present"?

    Here's the video :

Funny thing, I thought it was Steve Aoki with a bald head, but I was wrong. Hahaha
