    Hey fellow music fanatics,

This is my first posts, just made an account because I am trying to automate the end loop point of a loop sampled in Sample One, (and this for years, every update I hope for this). I just ignored the technique for years and simply accepted it not ending up in release.

Now normally you can almost automate everything in this DAW. Not this though.

So with this technique I mean, you have a sample loaded in the Sample One. You pick a sustained note in the sample. And loop it. When looping it (so playing repeated notes in a midi with loop on sustain mode) I want to decrease the right part. This will generate the effect of a sort of build in Dance Music. Or when opened from a small loop to a little higher you get the effect Swedish House Mafia had in there track One, where the kick turned into the bassline. Now I bought Studio One and I don't plan on buying another DAW just for this.

So does anyone have a clue?

I made a video just to clarify:

    Hope anyone can help.

    Thank you.

I do not know Studio One things like this, or even some of the possible nuances. But if I had to do this to a sample, I would change the sample into new copies of it. I would edit each variation however you want. Reload them onto your samplers keys, and change the parameters of the sampler all to the same Root Note so they are not pitched. Instead of triggering the same original sample multiple times, you would just trigger another midi note. The daw will still send the note on message to the sampler for the corresponding pitch. The sampler just won't do anything about it. You will have a C sample on D E F all playing your C. I might opt to do it this way for more control, even when you do figure out sample start automation.

The easiest thing would be to link the sampler's SampleStart parameter by using Latch automation. That way the CC information is recorded into a new automation lane. It sounds like you can't do it this way or you probably wouldn't be asking. The version you want to do can be a cool effect with basslines. The benefit of using Latch Mode is you do not need to know the CC# to automate.

Or I would use a Third-Party sampler plugin. To do this in Serato Sample, the feature is called Key Shift Pad. As an example.
